Seakeeper HD-26 Gyro Stabilizer Repair & Recommissioning – Pilot Boat “Ruhuna 01”
Mermaid Solutions Pvt Ltd successfully completed the inspection, repair, servicing, and recommissioning of the Seakeeper HD-26 Gyro Stabilizer System installed onboard the Pilot Boat “Ruhuna 01” at Hambantota International Port.
This project was carried out following the vessel’s reported low brake pressure alarm condition and operational performance concerns within the Seakeeper stabilization system. After a comprehensive technical inspection and diagnostics process, our marine engineering team successfully restored the system to normal operational condition.
The Seakeeper HD-26 unit had accumulated approximately 7,548 running hours and 3,743 sea hours, requiring critical maintenance and replacement of several operational components to ensure reliable vessel stabilization performance.
